![]() I once saw a book in a library titled "Paint what you see, not what you think you see". I thought about this and realized that my approach to painting is just the opposite. As a long time caricature artist I put great faith in very quick sketches, whether they are of a person or of a scene, the object is to capture the essence of the subject or “what you think you see”. My landscapes, inspired by Wellington’s rolling hills, steep streets, sky and sea grow out of these first impression sketches, caricatures mixed with fantasy. Welcome to my GALLERY to see my most recent works - a mixture of reality and fantasy. ![]()
